Low Calorie Post Workout Recovery Shake
There's a common misconception among people who want to lose weight or get leaner that certain protein shakes will lead to weight gain.
When in reality, most protein powders are extremely low on calories, carbs, and fats. Adding more protein into your diet is a key component to actually losing weight.
Protein keeps you full longer than any other macronutrient. Thus, not requiring as many calories to fill you up.
Here is a recipe for a pretty low calorie post workout recovery shake.
- 10 oz water
- 1 cup frozen Strawberries
- 1/2 Banana
- 1 Scoop Transparent Labs Whey Protein
(Vanilla or Chocolate)
Total Calories: 242
I recommend using a blender for this.
Hope you enjoy!
