3 Easy & Fast Ways To Use Protein Powder

In this article I'm going to share the 3 easiest & quickest ways to use protein powder.

As someone with zero skill in the kitchen,

I can confirm that all 3 of these options are incredibly fast, take little to no preparation,

and if you do them right.....they don't taste bad either.

1. Shaker Bottle w/ Water

This is the easiest and quickest way to use protein powder if you're in a hurry.

Simply put your 1-2 scoops of protein in a shaker bottle with water,

shake it up for 30 seconds or so,

and drink.

Although this is the quickest way, it's probably the least appetizing.

But sometimes speed and convenience outweighs taste in certain situations.

If I'm going to have my protein powder this way, I have found that using minimal water in my shaker bottle is often the best way to go.

Let's say, about 8-10oz rather than filling up the full shaker bottle with water.

This means there's less overall liquid to drink. . .

And I also find that whatever flavor the protein is, it usually tastes a bit better and less watery when there's only 8-10 oz of water rather than 20+ oz.

2. Protein Smoothie (in a blender)

Make a protein smoothie in the blender with some fruit.

This way might take an extra 1-3 minutes, but it's the best tasting way to have your protein powder. (in my opinion)

There are so many different shakes/smoothies you can create with various fruit and flavors of protein.

I've put a ton of protein smoothie recipes in there and I'm sure there's at least one or two that you'll enjoy.

But here are 2 of my favorite recipes below to use protein powder in a smoothie...

1. Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Banana, Protein Shake

- 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk

- 1 Banana

- 2 tbsp Peanut Butter Powder

- Handful of ice

- Blend for 30-60 seconds

2. Strawberry, Banana, Protein Smoothie

- 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk

- 50g frozen Strawberries

- 1 Banana

- handful of ice

- Blend for 30-60 seconds

These are two of my go-to protein smoothies that are quick, easy, refreshing, and lower calorie options.

3. Oatmeal w/ Protein

This is a great alternative way to use protein powder that can also taste pretty good, with the right flavors.

And it doesn't take any additional time to prepare than regular oatmeal.

Just add in your scoop of protein and mix it up.

I do find that when I put my protein in oatmeal, I'm limited to using 1 scoop of protein most of the time.

Because if I use 2 scoops, the oatmeal becomes a consistency that I don't enjoy.

In the past, I've used Quaker oats with 1 scoop of Cinnamon Pastry flavored protein from Transparent Labs.

Then I added a tbsp of honey and some cinnamon....which tasted great.

I've also made a version of oats with 1 scoop of Vanilla Peanut Butter flavored protein and added 2 tbsp of peanut butter powder, and cut up a banana. . . Which was also very good.

I'm also a big fan of adding strawberries, blueberries, and any kind of berries to my oatmeal as well.

So, depending on the taste or flavor you're looking for, there are plenty of variations....just like with the smoothies.

But there you go, the 3 easiest and fastest ways to use protein powder.

I hope this was helpful.

If you use any of these ideas already or add one of these into your weekly routine...
